From where we were bound to a buoy.

Approaching Ischia, Italy from Sardinia after a night on Tyrrhenian Sea.

Waiting out the night.
This is a view while we were going to land on our little inflatable rib for breakfast, leaving Songline anchored.

This is a common sight as we journeyed across the Mediterranean to islands and country ports.

Crossing the English Channel had its challenges. Crossing two lanes of rapidly moving large steel vessels made for an action packed voyage.

Ischia is a volcanic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It lies at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples, about 30 km from the city of Naples. It is the largest of the Phlegrean Islands.
Its origin dates back to In 6 A.D., after his visit to Capri, the emperor Augustus, desperate to obtain the Island, swapped it with Naples for Ischia, which once again fell into Neapolitan hands.
The movie Cleopatra staring Liz Taylor & Richard Burton was filmed here.
